Lemula is a tool for modelling how languages change over time. This page says what it keeps about you and how that is used. Lemula is run by Tiny Gods. Reach us at tinygodsdev@gmail.com.

What we keep

An account. When you sign up with an email and password, we keep your email address, your display name, and a hashed form of your password. When you sign in with Google, we keep your email address and name as Google returns them, and never your Google password.

Your work. The projects you build in Lemula are stored so they are there when you return: the languages, their sound changes and rules, the words and lexicons you enter, and the features you define. This content is yours. We do not read it to learn about you and we do not use it to train anything.

A session. A signed cookie keeps you logged in between visits. It carries no more than what is needed to know the browser is still yours.

What we do with it

We use your account to tell your projects apart from everyone else's and to let you back in. We use your work to show it back to you and run the calculations you ask for.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We send you no marketing email; the only mail Lemula sends is about your account, such as confirming your address or helping you reset a password.

Who else touches it

Lemula runs on Railway, which hosts the application and its Postgres database on our behalf. Signing in with Google means Google handles that step and tells us the email and name you approved. Loops sends transactional account mail, limited to address verification and password resets. Google Analytics 4 collects usage data on Lemula's public and landing pages. These providers process data on our behalf, under their own terms.

If Lemula introduces paid plans, a third-party payment processor will handle payments, and card details will never reach Lemula servers.

Analytics

Google Analytics 4 uses analytics cookies and collects usage data on Lemula's public and landing pages. We use the resulting aggregate information to understand how those pages are used.

Removing your data

You can delete a project at any time, which removes its content. To close your account and remove what we hold about you, write to tinygodsdev@gmail.com and we will carry it out.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Lemula is early software, so expect it to grow more specific as the product settles.
